Aimee has always been a fan of a healthy lifestyle and healthy eating – after all you need good clean energy to keep up with a busy lifestyle! So she has been blogging about her experience with The Fresh Diet – an innovative home-delivery food service tailored to a specific daily calorie intake goal.

I can’t believe it is already mid July! Time sure does fly when you’re having fun!
Summer has been great so far, I just finished a 3 day shoot for an AT&T commercial. I met soooo many wonderful actors on that set, and the directing team was amazing. We had a lot of fun.
Up next, I am filming a Disney movie called “Prom”. I start in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait! There is nothing like being on set!
Also in exciting news, In a few days, I am throwing in my apron and calorie counting, to start 31 days of “THE FRESH DIET”! It will be like I have my own personal chef for a whole month! If you don’t know what The Fresh Diet is, you should check out their website, and follow them on facebook. The Fresh Diet provides the right balance of food in proper portions to help you lose weight, feel energetic, and maintain proper health. Your meals are delivered the night before, freshly cooked for the next day! I plan on updating my progress at least once a week here, so check back if you are interested in seeing what it is like. I basically wanted to try it out, to get in the habit of eating more small, balanced meals a day, that are healthy and low in gluten, and all the bad stuff. It’s a pretty rad program.
So that is what is up with me so far this summer! In between auditions, and recording in the studio, I have been one busy bee. Can’t wait for my yearly pilgrimige to the East coast around my birthday, that will make for a perfect summer.
First off, I wanna say a huuuge THANK YOU to everyone who voted for me for the “wet n’ wild” contest…It was so much fun interacting with everyone who was voting. I love you all dearly, and am so grateful for your support.
Next to report, the little orgy that could, “Cumming’s Farm” has been doing awesome since it showed at SLAMDANCE. It was just played to 2 packed houses, at the “Boston Underground Film Fest”, it will then be going to the “Florida Film Fest”, and I’m really excited it’s finally coming to the LA area on April 29th to the “Newport Beach Film Fest.”
You can check out the link above to get your tickets. (It’s only ONE showing so get em’ while you can!)
In less than 24 hours, I will be on a plane to Vegas. for the NAB SHOW.
If you don’t know what it is, check out this link NABSHOW2010
Basically, If you aren’t aware, I go there every year with the podcast I’m a co-host on. We learn so much about the industry before anyone else does. By industry I don’t mean just film, broadcasting or the newest SLR camera, I mean digital, and new media and where it is all headed. We learn of the latest online trends before anyone even knows they exist! My favorite thing to visit is the CONTENT THEATRE. Last year we saw how the Jim Hensen studios are now using state of the art ways to move their puppets on camera with actual actors in crazy sensored suits! This year I’m predicting to see even more 3D stuff than past years when they were just beginning to utter the words “3D in your living room.”
As fun as it is, it’s a tiring week, not your normal trip to Vegas, but by the time I leave my head is so full of information I feel inspired to execute, and create.
If you have been asleep in a hole, or just unaware of our podcast you should catch up, and hear last years cast of NAB!!

When we return from NAB be sure to check in for the newest PODCAST of everything we learned at the conference, you will be happy you did.
(seriously)
So, that’s the update of what’s happening at this very moment in my world. I hope the spring finds everyone in a good place, cleaned out of all the past years muck, and inspired to follow every dream you may have.
One day left to vote for Aimee to win a 2 year contract and be the face of “Wet n’ Wild’s” new campaign.

Lot’s of exciting things ahead this week and next that I wanted to update you all with. Proudly, I will bundle up and venture off on Thursday to Park City Utah, where I will be submersed in Film heaven! I’m so excited to see my movie “Cumming’s Farm” for the the first time at Slamdance Festival. It will be awesome to reunite with my talented cast members I had the pleasure of working with, Laura Silverman, Ted Beck, Adam Busch, Jordan Kessler, and Yasmine Kittles, all together, we made up one fun ensemble cast! I will also get to enjoy the Sundance Festivities that occur at the same time. This will be my first time to Sundance so I’m out of control excited!!! I will try and take as many photos as possible to share the experience with you all.
On the 27th of January, I will be guest singing with one of LA’s most treasured bands “Madras”. It will truly be an honor to share the stage with amazing musicians and artists, such as Ryan Brown, Marc Thomas, and Dan Luperini.
Then, I will be singing in another variety type show on the 30th, with more incredible talents! Not to mention, I have been hard at work writing, and forming new music to share with all of you! This month has presented many, many blessings to me, as well as to so many of my friends. I couldn’t be happier for all of you.
2010 has most definitely started off with a BANG! I can’t wait for what’s to come!
What a year 2009 has has been! As it comes to a close and 2010 awaits us, just around the corner, I can’t help but think back at how thankful I am.
Highlights of 2009 included the opportunity to act beside one of my favorites (Christian Slater) in “The Forgotten”; truly a surreal moment for me. As was finally getting to see the beauty that is Hawai’i!
The film I did “Cummings Farm” premiered at the New Orleans film festival, then made its rounds at the Austin Film Fest. Most recently, it was just accepted to the SLAMDANCE film festival, which happens in Park City, Utah alongside SUNDANCE. Out of 5,000 submissions, only 18 films were chosen, and “Cummings Farm” is one of them! I have never been to Sundance yet, So I am super excited to head there in January.
Music has started to leak back in my life, which I am so happy for. I have a few acoustic shows lined up for the new year, and am so excited about getting back on the stage.
Although, 2009 had its struggles, I think it was a wonderful year for planting many seeds that will bloom, and flourish in the upcoming months and I can’t wait!
I hope everyone had a safe and magical holiday season, remembering how lucky we all are to get to live our dreams and make things happen.
With that said, I leave you with a little “Boxing Day” Treat – a song I wrote a few years ago with my old band “The Charles Shaw Project” on Boxing Day! It was originally called “Queensbury Rules” which is a code of rules generally accepted in boxing, but we changed the title to make it simpler. I love this song because it reminds me however bad things may get, or how many times we fall….you just gotta get back up.
Enjoy the New Year, and get ready for a Kick Ass 2010. I’ll be sure to update this thing more frequently in the New Year and not be so technologically lazy.
ok, who has heard of Friend Feed?
I’m kinda digging the whole vibe of consolidating all my social networking sites into one. I mean less is supposed to be more right? Check it out…and ADD ME!
Just wanted to let you know a new interview just went up at
Dr.Goresfunhouse.com. Christian Sellers interviews me about my time working on Return of the Living Dead 4 & 5!
In the wake of today’s news, calling the death of Michael Jackson a Homicide, this video showing a supposed MJ hopping out of the coroner’s van with a license plate matching the van that took him away from his home, after it parks behind a chain link gate, has suddenly gone viral:
It looks pretty grainy to me. Knowing how people like to believe that Elvis, and Tupac, still live, it could be one of those type of hoaxes. I’d love to hear what YOU think!
