Has anyone ever tried Ethiopian Food? I attended a Birthday dinner tonight at an Ethiopian Restaurant in Little Ethiopia on Fairfax in Los Angeles. I really had no idea what to expect, accept that I was told not to be a germaphob if I wanted to have a good time.
Basically, It's a whole experiance and I suggest you go with a group of close friends.
You sit around a table and order from the menu, either meat plates of your choice, or vegetarian dishes. We opted for both.
A large Platter of various veggies that resemble baby food are placed in front of you and you are given this foamy soft crepe like bread, to break into peices and scoop up the food with. No forks, no knives, no spoons.
It's fun!
Of course, I had to poke holes in my extra bread for my mouth and eyes, and did my very best leather face impression.
I really think if you haven't tried it, and want a totally fun, and unique experiance you should try it out. Def. a great date idea.
Does anyone have any unique cultural food experiances? share them!
I like new ideas. I get tired of the same old thing. Being in LA Im lucky because It really is a melting pot of culture…so many things to try.
